Rockabilly high priests, the Reverend Horton Heat return to Australia to preach the good word on hell bound, high octane rock n roll.
Lead by slicked-back 1950′s rock & roll shaman Jim Heath and backed by his longtime double bass punisher Jimbo Wallace, no band rocks harder, drives faster, or lives truer than the Reverend Horton Heat.
The Reverend Horton Heat have blazed an indelible, meteoric trail across the globe with their unique blend of musical virtuosity & vital reinterpretation of the country-blues-rock roots of American music. Jim Heath is a Revelator, a time-travelling space-cowboy on an endless inter-stellar musical tour, and we are all the richer & “psychobillier” for getting to tag along.
Joining the Reverend on selected Australian shows will be legendary Australian cow punks The Johnnys delivering blistering renditions from their back catalogue of essential country punk stretching all the way back to the halcyon days of Oz pub rock of the early 1980’s.
In Melbourne The Rev will also be joined by Ezra Lee & Jumpin’ Jethro bringing the very best in arcane rock n roll boogie woogie, In Brisbane 50’s rockers The Linelockers will heat up the crowd with Greasefest’s own Lori Lee spinning choice rockabilly sounds to get y’all moving. In Adelaide Neo Rockabilly stars The Saucermen will be dispensing their own brand of quality rock n roll vibes, with more acts to be announced!
